Aunt Lou here.

I’m living up to one of my nicknames that Cris has given me over the years. The Potato Queen is here to serve you up another FANTASTIC recipe! Seriously, I took this Crock Pot Cheesy Potato Casserole that I found in Gooseberry Patch’s Slow Cooker to the Rescue to a get-together at a friend’s house and loved overhearing everyone rave about how good the potatoes were! You’re gonna love ’em!

How to Make Cheesy Potato Casserole in a Crock Pot

In a large bowl, mix together all of your ingredients except for your French Fried Onions. Pour your mixture into a greased 6-quart or casserole crock. Sprinkle with 1 cup of your French Fried Onions on top. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours. If you are using an oven-safe crock (check with your manufacturer to know for sure), sprinkle your remaining onions on top and pop it in your broiler for about 90 seconds to crisp up the top.

Crock Pot Cheesy Potato Casserole Notes

  • If you want a little more onions, you can add some into the mixture or add a little more on top. If you want less, use less! Make it your own!
  • As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly depending on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish.
  • All slow cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline and shouldalways be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed.
