Testing technology for fuel cells stack & system

Hydrogen is an essential component of renewable energies. In mobility as well as energy supply, hydrogen is seen as a fuel of the future. Drive concepts with mobile fuel cells (PEM) or pure hydrogen engines are gaining ground worldwide. But also stationary SOFC fuel cells are gaining more and more popularity in power generation.

These strong transformations, especially in the automotive industry, have also prompted Moehwald to expand its product portfolio in the direction of fuel cell test benches.

Already 2008 Moehwald with the partner MS2 stepped in development and production for test benches of the mobile (PEM) fuel cell. This cooperation was intensified again from 2017 and with it Moehwald has competence-wise a wide base to design fuel cell test benches. This is enlarged by the Bosch Manufactiuring network, which also build up strong competences in the field of hydrogen.

And as one of the few test technology manufacturers worldwide Moehwald has a complete in-house infrastructure for hydrogen and methane.

Battery tests from cells to complete battery

Our battery testing systems for modules and packs are based on over 15 years of experience in battery testing. They can be used for both end-of-line (EOL) and beginning-of-line (BOL) testing. All our systems are modular in design and can be individually combined from individual modules such as voltage measurement, high-voltage testing (HV), charge/discharge, current measurement, resistance measurement (DCIR/ ACIR) or functional tests with CAN communication.

The systems can be supplied both as separate test units and integrated into (partially) automated stations.
