I still use this phone in end of 2023. In 2022 I've installed custom Android 7.1.2 (pixelexperience) and it works much better. The main disadvantage is battery, charging time is long and working time is short. Moreover phone use to turn off suddenly, when battery is about 30%.

Had my phone since 2019. Bought it new. I havent had to replace a thing. Very happy with it. My only draw back is the camera. While I have a real camera, I dont always have it with me. But I will live. Especially, when the newer phone are too big and cost way to much

Ok, so bought this phone maybe a week before moving 1200 miles in 2018. It wasn't "new" then, as hubby and I could afford 2, since we both had older phones. I am just now (as this was made in 2016) getting a newer phone. This poor thing is on its last little limb, but still can knock out phone calls and sync to my bluetooth. It is damn near indestructible. I cannot tell you how often I drop it, lose it, or sometimes have thrown it across the room. Battery pops right out, just toss it back in.

However, this thing STILL works in a pinch. I wish I could upgrade this one, but yeah. I can't use some of my apps anymore b/c the phone is no longer compatible. For as old as it is, and the way it is made, this phone did a damn good job. Bravo on this one, Samsung.

Bought new in fall 2016; 3rd battery since then and ... no plan To replace it. Still functionnal so ?
A phone, even the 1000$ newest "hot cake" will not bring you happinest in life. Throwing in garbadge a still functionnal unit is a waste of ressourses for mother earth ! This thinking is applyable for ... everything !
If you don't agree or do not understand; well, it is useless to say more !

As for not needing it as an actual day-to-day phone, it actually ran really well!

Manufactured e-waste 👍🏻 Mine lagged badly on Youtube and it could barely run Minecraft at a stable 15 fps. Thanks God I had to use this piece of garbage for only like 1 and a half year
